Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 17, 2026
Last updated: August 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how InVooDoo LLC (“InVooDoo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, Apple apps, and related services (together, the “Services”).
We wrote this policy in plain language so you can understand our practices. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].
1. Who we are
InVooDoo LLC is a California limited liability company. Our mailing address is:
InVooDoo LLC
11916 Tivoli Park Row
San Diego, CA 92128
United States
InVooDoo LLC is the data controller for personal information processed under this policy, except where a third party (such as Apple or an analytics provider) processes information as an independent controller under its own terms.
2. Where this policy applies
This policy applies to websites we operate (including invoodoo.com), our apps, and other services we provide. Some products may present additional notices at the point of collection. Those notices supplement this policy.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites, apps, or services that we do not control, including the Apple App Store, payment processors, or sites you visit from our Services.
3. Information we collect
What we collect depends on the Service you use. Many of our utility apps keep your content on your device. We collect the minimum we need to operate, support, and improve the Services.
Information you provide
- Account and contact details. If a Service lets you create an account or contact us, you may give us your name, email address, password or sign-in credentials, and the content of your message.
- Device permissions. Some features ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, location, or Apple Health. The system prompts you first. We only use the permission for the feature you turned on. You can revoke access in your device settings.
- Content you create. If a Service lets you save notes, journals, scans, playlists, or similar content, that content is typically stored on your device unless the Service offers an optional sync or account feature that you turn on.
- Feedback. If you send reviews, support requests, or product ideas, we keep what you send so we can respond and improve the Services. Feedback you provide may be used by InVooDoo without restriction, except that we will not treat personal information in your message as a public endorsement.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data. How you use a Service — for example, features opened, approximate time spent, crashes, and whether a purchase completed.
- Device and technical data. Device type, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, IP address, browser type, and similar diagnostics.
- Identifiers. Random device or advertising identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA) when the platform makes them available and, on Apple platforms, after you grant tracking permission where required.
- Location. Some apps (for example, timezone or weather features) may collect precise location if you grant permission, so we can show local time and forecasts. Location is used for the feature you requested and, if you consent, related measurement. You can turn location off in Settings.
- Website analytics. Our websites use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site.
Information from others
- App stores and payment platforms. If you buy or subscribe through Apple, Apple processes payment. Apple does not give us your full payment card details. We may receive an anonymized or limited receipt so we can unlock the purchase and provide support.
- Sign-in providers. If a Service offers Sign in with Apple or another third-party sign-in that you choose to use, we receive the profile information that provider shares with us (typically a name and email, or a private relay email).
- Service providers. Analytics, hosting, email, and crash-reporting partners may provide us with reports derived from data they process on our behalf.
4. Notice at collection (California)
California law requires us to tell you, at or before collection, the categories of personal information we collect, why we collect them, whether we sell or share them, and how long we keep them. This section is that notice. Details are in the rest of this policy.
| Category | Examples | Sources | Why we collect it | Disclosed to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, IP address, device or advertising ID, account ID | You, your device, Apple or other sign-in providers | Provide the Services, support, security, analytics | Service providers; Apple or other platforms |
| Commercial information | Purchases, subscriptions, refunds | Apple or other storefronts; you | Fulfill orders, unlock features, support, accounting | Apple or other storefronts; service providers |
| Internet or electronic activity | App and site usage, crashes, diagnostics, cookie data | Your device; analytics SDKs | Operate, debug, and improve the Services | Analytics and hosting providers |
| Geolocation | Precise location, if you grant permission | Your device | Location features (for example, local time or weather) | Service providers needed to deliver the feature |
| Sensory data | Camera, microphone, or photos, if you grant permission | You | The feature you turned on (for example, scanning a receipt) | Not shared except with processors that help deliver the feature |
| Inferences | Feature preferences or likely interests derived from usage | Derived from other data | Personalize the Services; measure ads if you consent | Analytics or advertising partners, subject to your choices |
| Sensitive personal information | Account login; precise location; Apple Health data, if you grant access | You; your device; Apple | Only to provide the feature you requested | Not used or disclosed for advertising |
We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising or cross-context analytics may be “sharing” under California law. We use sensitive personal information only to provide the Services you requested, not to infer characteristics about you.
5. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including purchases, subscriptions, and customer support.
- Understand which features work and fix crashes, bugs, and performance issues.
- Personalize in-app experience (for example, saved favorites, units, or locations you choose).
- Send service messages (security, account, or material product changes). Marketing email is sent only where allowed, and you can unsubscribe.
- Measure and, where you have consented on Apple platforms, deliver relevant advertising in apps that include ads.
- Protect the Services, detect abuse or fraud, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use Apple Health or other sensitive health data for advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions)
Where required, we process personal information on these bases:
- Contract. To provide the Service you asked for.
- Legitimate interests. To secure, debug, and improve the Services, prevent fraud, and understand aggregate usage, in ways that do not override your rights.
- Consent. For optional permissions (location, tracking, health, camera) and for marketing where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app, in device settings, or by contacting us.
- Legal obligation. To meet tax, accounting, or other legal requirements.
6. Cookies, SDKs, and tracking
Our websites may use cookies or similar technologies for essential operation and analytics. Our apps may include software development kits (SDKs) from us or from providers such as Google (Firebase / Google Analytics) to measure usage and stability.
Some apps may show advertising. On Apple devices, personalized tracking requires your permission under App Tracking Transparency. You can also reset your advertising identifier and limit tracking in iOS, iPadOS, or macOS Settings. If you decline tracking, you may still see ads, but they will not be based on the tracking you declined.
You can control website analytics cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies may affect some site features.
7. How we share information
We share information only as described here:
- Service providers. Hosting, analytics, crash reporting, email, and similar vendors who process information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own unrelated purposes.
- Platforms. Apple and other store or payment platforms, so they can process purchases and deliver the app.
- Advertising partners. In apps that include ads, partners may receive device or advertising identifiers and limited usage or location data, subject to your tracking choices.
- Legal and safety. If we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, necessary to protect InVooDoo, our users, or the public, or needed to enforce our agreements.
- Business transfers. If we take part in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor notice.
- With your direction. If you ask us to share information or you use a share sheet or similar feature.
We do not share personal information with a corporate group of affiliated consumer-internet companies. InVooDoo LLC is an independent studio. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for those parties’ own direct marketing.
8. How we protect information
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data — including encryption in transit where supported, access controls, and regular review of our practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, email [email protected].
9. Children
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request. We aim to respond within 45 days, or sooner if a shorter period applies where you live. We may decline requests that are unlawful, excessive, or that would affect another person’s rights.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we disclose it.
- Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information if we use it beyond what is necessary to provide the Services.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising or analytics disclosures may be “sharing” under California law. You can opt out by declining App Tracking Transparency prompts, adjusting device advertising settings, and emailing [email protected] with the subject line “California Opt-Out.”
If we detect a legally recognized opt-out preference signal, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), we treat it as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for that browser. You may use an authorized agent as permitted by law; we will take reasonable steps to verify the agent’s authority.
We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code § 1798.83) also lets you ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing. We do not do that. You may still email [email protected] to confirm.
Other U.S. states
Residents of certain other U.S. states (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon, Texas, and others with similar laws) may have comparable rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of targeted advertising or sales. Email [email protected] to exercise them. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision and writing “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.
EEA and United Kingdom
You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first at [email protected].
11. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, where a recipient is certified, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and UK or Swiss extensions, as applicable).
12. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. Typical periods:
- On-device content. Until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- Account and support messages. While the account is active, then up to 24 months after the last correspondence, unless we need it longer for a dispute.
- Purchase and subscription records. Up to 7 years, for tax and accounting.
- Analytics and crash reports. Typically 14 to 26 months.
- Security and fraud logs. Typically 12 months.
We may keep information longer if required by law, if there is an outstanding claim, or if we must prevent abuse. Server-side records are then deleted or de-identified, subject to the technical limits of backups.
13. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice that is reasonable in the circumstances (for example, an in-app notice or a notice on this page). Continued use of the Services after the updated policy takes effect means you acknowledge the update.
